I actually like option 3, since Yayoi asked Ferris to make a report on Beauty and Maleficent in exchange for the outfit. Double-duty. :|b

It is a thing of evil and terribleness. Basically he enables her worst trolling tendencies (provided that they're not aimed in his direction), so she sort of runs wild. He's also a pretty nice guy and he indulges her vanity. So he's a playmate of sorts, but Ryner will always have the top spot even when it comes to that. He also casually hits on her, but she ignores that. . .

Now that the three of them are having "the talk," how does Ryner feel about the situation?

Zero likes Sakura and finds her a bit adorable at times. But she's got Naruto's crazy need to run off and DO THINGS that may not be the safest so he might try harder to keep an eye on her. >> At the same time, he respects her need for independence and wish to stand on her own two feet. Zero has realized the ninja's have a bit of a daring and proud streak. So it's an awkward balance for him.

Tell me about Sakura and her non-canon relationships~ at Aather.

Zero thinks Spitfire is a decent enough person since Zero generally likes the saner members of Iolite and Spitfire is Ace's friend. But there is a bit of JUDGING going on since Spitfire confessed about his little story. This is only slightly mitigated by the fact that Spitfire did at least tell him. However, Zero does appreciate Spitfire's generally good mood.

Tell me about Spitfire and Drift.

As far as Mark and Ryner go, Ryner likes Mark and mostly doesn't care when Mark is trolling because it means Mark is in a good mood, which makes Ryner happy. Even if the trolling itself gets his goat. But that's goal because Ryner is in a state of perpetual bitching. He also sees Mark as someone he can bounce ideas off since Mark tends to have good ones when he thinks things through and is not emo-lumping. That said, there is a bit of detachment there because Mark closes down and Ryner is not much of a pusher. He prefers to let people deal with things by themselves unless they are being complete failboats, which is when he usually does his tough love thing. But Ryner gets the sense that Mark prefers to deal with things on his own or with Fon so he tends to draw back. Ryner is baaaaaaaaaaad with rejection. But in his usual oblivious fashion, Ryner does wish Mark would stop hating on himself all the time and use Aather as an opportunity to be the person he wants instead of the person he so dislikes in his memories.

Ven and Ryner, there's not much change, aside from Ryner seeing more of Ven's serious side and understanding more about him through his time in Ventus' heart. The threat of Vanitas is particularly significant since Ryner also knows that he is sometimes controlled by a darker part of himself, which he doesn't quite understand yet. So he gets what it's like to fear what you are and what you could become. But while Ryner appreciates Ventus' serious side, he tries his best to bring out Ven's brighter side, mostly because that's when Ven seems to be the most comfortable.

Ven and Zero. Zero likes Ventus, but he also has severe issues with what Peridot does to him. Zero does not like seeing Ventus turn to more extreme actions because it seems to go against who Ventus is to Zero. Also, Ventus pinged Zero hard in his hypocrite place, and he's still dealing with that. At the same time, Zero believes Ventus loves Perdiot and Zero does respect teams' feelings for each other, so long as they don't interfere with other friendships.

Well, first, Zero is severely co-dependent. To the point where people ensure he has partners all throughout canon because he can't be trusted to not do something stupid and masochistic on his own. This means he attaches. In Aather, this co-dependency is MUCH higher since he doesn't have his OMG I HATE EVERYTHING shield going from him since that would be counter-productive to working with the sometimes very shaky teams. Everything is simply too unstable to allow Zero to get by with his bitch attitude. No to mention, that that attitude bothers him so he doesn't want to allow himself to become like that anyway. The result is that he is a perpetual emotional wreck because well, Zero's life sucks. He knows it sucks and he knows it's going to continue to suck and he can't do a damn thing about it. He's an aberration that's slated to go crazy. This means that when he grasps for stabilizing ground, he clutches even more than he does in canon. And lol, yes, Ace is that stabilizing ground.

Ace represents the assurance and distraction Zero needs to not collapse under the weight of his severe issues. While he's troubled that Ace is willing to put up with so much from him -- because Zero is well aware that he is VERY HIGH MAINTENANCE and more likely to get worse than improve -- he also sees Ace as a constant. And Zero needs his constants. He does VERY BADLY when those things are changed. :x But more than that, Ace genuinely makes Zero happy because he always offers other, less depressing ways to see things and Ace has a very disarming personality. It pretty much catches Zero off-guard, thus preventing him from slipping too far into his psychosis. He knows he can rely on him. And Ace is essentially his rock. I am aware this is ttly healthy. And while it does dig at him that Ace won't talk more about his memories, Zero can only call him on it so much because again, he really thinks he asks too much of him. Even when he is less than comfortable with the caginess. Though this is beginning to change, as Zero starts to have interest in equalizing things.

Also, the blood-drinking contributes because it is such a private thing to Zero, unlike other vampires. And because he only agreed to it due to Ace's wish to help him in the first place. But because blood-drinking carries a very sexual context... yeah. Zero is aware of this. And while he will always consider it wrong wrong wrong, he can't deny that he doesn't want or find peace in it. Zero likes the connection :x This is also why the idea of cup-drinking makes him secretly bothered. He doesn't want to admit or acknowledge that part of him enjoys the contact. It's also important to note that while Ace's blood is not what Zero needs since that will always be Yuuki, there is a definite aspect of want right now. To the point where anything else is deeply less satisfying.

What does all this rambling actually mean? It means that Zero actually does love his secretly homicidal buddy, though he's still very aware of his love for Yuuki as well. He's also fairly sure Yuuki loves Kaname, not him, not that this lessens his feelings for her any. She's always been there for him and all he really wants in this world is to know that she is happy and safe. I mean, loving Yuuki is pretty much part of his SOUL, even when he's being a dumbass about it, WITH GOOD REASON.

That said, Ace's behavior in Odile's game came as a bit of a shock to Zero since he especially expected Ace to say his burden was missing Alice. Then again, Ace wouldn't be likely to SHARE that with ANYONE. But yeah, Zero doesn't know how to cope with being important since he's masochistic and passively suicidal and all that. Something that has been severely affected by that game because it showed him that his death wish would actually HURT Ace. Which means he's probably going to be thinking about it more. But yeah, it's hard to deal with someone caring about you that much, especially the cavalier way Ace talked about spilling his blood for him. Zero is just like /o\.

Now the physical aspects of the relationship are a combination of vampire bloodlust and simply the raw intensity of Zero's feelings. Zero doesn't like losing things so he tends to get possessive, without even realizing it. Though he does wish he wasn't such a mess about it since he's still having bloodlust control issues and well, he knows Ace likes kissing, so he'd like to be able to do it without that little BITING problem.

Zero mostly finds Kit easy-going when it comes to chatting with him, but he's especially intrigued whenever Kit shows off the more serious side of himself. He likes that hint that Coral is more than the perky display they usually show to others. Mostly because it makes the team feel more well-rounded. Zero tends to like poking at that more serious side since it's what he's more familiar with.

Tell me about Kit and Coral~.

Zero appreciates Neji's serious personality but worries about the distance he keeps from others. Possibly this is because this is Zero's MO and he knows it's not entirely healthy... He actually wants to know more about him, but he also tends to not push teams because he'd rather they talk to people they are closer to. He also worries a bit about Neji because half of Iolite is kind of crazy... as evidenced to him in the Lion/Sea Witch game. And he's not sure how much Neji really goes along with it.

Ryner is just fascinated in Neji's determination, though he really does think Neji overdoes it a lot of the time. Especially with that power cap. :\ But Ryner is totally set on learning everything he can about people from Neji's world since he wants to understand how their world views people with special eyes. Neji is another one he views as someone he can bounce ideas off. And he enjoys whenever Neji shows a little bit of his dry humor, since it's just the kind Ryner most likes.

Well, it really threw Zero for a loop when Citrine refused to use him as a shield in the Lion/Sea Witch game because even though Zero knows Drift doesn't like him hurting himself, he saw protecting the teams as an entirely different scenario. So Zero was both trapped by the inability to protect Citrine and the realization that Drift was going to take on more pain for HIS sake. Which really really messed him up because THAT'S NOT HOW IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE. But... he also is team-topped so if that's how Drift wants it, that's what he has to accept. Even if he's totally fine with dying for a good cause.

And then Drift got hurt in Riful's heart and is sort of crushed him because again he couldn't protect him. So he felt really GUILTY about the cake but took it anyway because clearly Drift put a lot of work into it and it meant a lot to him. But yeah, Zero is like I DESERVE NO CAKE. Zero has problems...

Drift's hints that he's distressed also trouble Zero because Drift clearly cares about him but won't let Zero ever worry about him. :( Zero wants to help the bunneh.

Limited opinion. He has issues with her being in Sion's room though. He didn't know about that before... Mostly due to the whole killing Sion previously and now especially because he knows Sion is in a very bad place mentally. He's not sure how good a person who is as keyed into their whims as Sword is for Sion right now. But you pick your battles. And right now his battle is smacking Sion into not hating himself.
