Ahhh... I didn't know they had people that actually hunted those...

[Shrugs.] I imagine it's more common in worlds where magic isn't well known. It's what happened to the witches in my world.

There's some strain. Light fracturing. No real cracks yet, but left alone, it would be.

The skill was pretty immense... I've remembered him doing it before, transferring the power from my eyes into magical blasts from his hands. They killed people instantly...

I can fix up the damage already done. And I do have a few things I can add. In theory they should work, it makes sense, but it would be the first real test to the theory.

What I've got is closer to magic that would invade dreams. Thus the possibility of fever dreams.
