Memory 12 - Significant Neutral

stigmateyesMemory 12 - The Assassin Biore aka Ryner's first love
Memory goes here~.
- He was part of the 42nd squadron of the Hidden Elites when he was 10.
- He lived in huge mansion by himself.
- He met the 15-year-old assassin Biore Mente while she was posing as his housekeeper so she could kill him on Roland's orders.
- He had also be assigned to kill Biore for knowing too much about Roland's secrets. "No, the country does it all the time. They'll use you for all you're worth, and kill you when you become a liability. The high and important people of Roland are always like this."
- He didn't like being called Master or being referred to as someone important when he just wanted to be friends.
- He was lazy even back then. He also ate poorly so it was a big deal when Biore fed him.
- He never was praised for his work for the squadron.
- He has always been fucking h@x, even taking down Biore when she tried to stab him in his sleep.
- Biore was intended as an experiment for him, to see whether a young Alpha Stigma could kill a trained assassin
- She also called him a pervert.
- He was used to being called a monster back then and wanted to disappear.
- He wanted to let Biore go and didn't care if he got punished since he was used to it. He hated killing back then too.
- He grew up in an orphanage where many of the kids turned assassin. Since he refused to obey assassination training, he never became one but saw how much it messed up his friends when he saw them again.
- Biore said she loved him.
- He was able to come up with super-complicated escape plans at that age too. Plans that tried to get around hurting anyone.
- They were going to run away to Nelpha.
- "Yep. I'm a proper person who puts the saying " Sleeping is a child's job " to good practice. I'm working so hard at that, I might just become the king of the kingdom of afternoon naps in the future."
- Roland soldiers wounded Biore with an arrow just to make him go berserk, which he blamed himself for because they just wanted to test an Alpha Stigma. GOD HIS LIFE JUST FUCKS OVER EVERYONE.
- Biore stabbed herself so the soldiers wouldn't use her death to set him off. :(((((((
- He truly wanted to kill that one time but he kept himself sane for her sake.
What this means for Aather?
Um yeah so as antsy as Ryner was about getting close to people people, this memory amplifies that by like INFINITY. The notion that people back home would kill other people just to make him snap fucks him up a lot and just serves as confirmation that being with anyone just puts their life in constant danger, even if not from him directly. Even if it won't happen here, he doesn't want to start something that will just be ridiculously risky when they return. And yes, he is afraid that the wrong type of person here could also resort to this tactic. This also reminds him of how long he has essentially been cursed and pretty much ostracized (which increases that whole self-fear and self-depreciation) and clears up why he has the fighting skills he does. Which does not make him happy since it basically says he was a trained attack dog for Roland. :(
It also tells him that Nelpha has long been seen as a refuge and a good place, which causes him more concern about Sion later attacking it.
