stigmateyesMemory 8: Getting attacked by little children who think he's a pervert
He's carrying an armful of books through a slender hallway in what appears to be a simply made house. As with his memory of sharing dango with Ferris, his mood seems to be quite chipper, as he remarks, "Both Sion and Toale, royalty sure have a hard time."
He starts to open a door, as the sound of rapidly moving steps echoes across the wooden highway. A little blond girl races toward him, her expression furious.
"You wild beast! Get ready!" she yells, lunging at him.
He manages to dodge her first attack just to have her half-jump against the wall and then use the momentum to dive at him again.
"Wait!" he yelps, avoiding an equally fast somersault of kicks.
"I'll be the one to protect Big Sister!"
The move carries the girl to the ceiling and then immediately back down at him, as he tries blocking her lightning-fast punches with the only book he didn't drop during the confusion.
Just as the girl manages to land enough blows to come within an inch of his face, Ferris' voice sounds from behind her.
"Just what are you doing?"
The little girl instantly drops her attack and runs toward Ferris, as happy to see her as she had been enraged to see him.
"Big sister!"
Ferris displays her usual lack of distraction as she holds the overly excited child at bay.
"Iris."
"Big sister! Iris came to save you! You just disappeared, so I got really worried!"
"Oh, sorry about that."
He gapes at the two for a moment, still holding up his book, before finally finding his voice again: "Big sister? This is Ferris' little sister?"
"Isn't she beautiful, just like me?" Ferris replies proudly, placing her hand on Iris' head, as the little girl chatters enthusiastically.
"Oh, Big Brother Sion said you'd been abducted by a wild beast, and that you were on a journey to find the greatest dango ever! And then somehow Iris became Big Brother Sion's personal information carrier!"
Seeing that he is no longer under assault by a crazy child, he falls back into his earlier mood.
"So put simply, this girl is our only way to contact Sion right now?" he asks.
"Iris is important, right? Right?" Iris quips.
"Yeah, but there's one thing that's missing," Ferris tells her, causing the girl to win over to the bag she brought.
"I know! Here, a Wynnit dango combination set!"
"100 points."
"Yay! Iris got a 100 points! Awesome, awesome!"
"Yeah, that's great, isn't it?" he contributes wearily.
Iris immediately covers her mouth with her hand, blushing as her eyes widening with horror. "Ah, damn! If a child talks to a wild beast, they're done for!"
"Huh?"
Ferris suddenly looks deeply troubled, as she tells her, "That's right... I'm sorry, Iris... I... was talking to that wild beast!" She also covers her mouth with her hand, sounding absolutely hopeless.
Before he can even figure out what the hell is going on, Iris bursts into tears and charges him again.
"No! I won't forgive you anymore! I'll bring you down!"
She lands a solid punch to his gut, sending him toppling backward.
What he learns?
- Toale. Another royal like Sion. He apparently likes him.
- WHY IS FERRIS' SISTER CRAZY?! No, seriously, this family must be super strong. Oh well, at least she and Ferris really care about each other. orz
- He's going to kill Sion for this. And then he's going to kill him more for remembering just enough to convince himself of this again HERE! What sort of idiot goes around telling little girls that someone's a wild beast.
- Ferris really enjoys goading her too. You suck, Ferris.
- Note to self: Don't let Sion or Ferris talk to little children (Yuta) about him.
- Iris is also close to Sion. Sion must know the family. Does he know what they did to Ferris?
- His friends enjoy causing him pain back home just as much as they do in Aather. :\
