Memory 4 - Significant Positive
Feb. 23rd, 2011 02:03 amMemory 4: Making fireworks for Sion and Miilk's birthday
The entire night sky is full of sparkling colors: reds, greens, yellows, blues, oranges, anything he can imagine. He stands in the middle of the woods, moving his hands through the air in an impossibly intricate pattern, as if rearranging unseen particles. Only they are not so unseen. Nor are they particles, but spirits. Bits of energy that can be manipulated and positioned to generate a metaphysical reaction. Magic. This one is the design for a message that will shoot up to join the colors, fireworks, in the sky. A birthday greeting for Miilk. In a few minutes, the spell is finished and sails to the stars. He's wishing to see the look on Miilk's face, but, of course, he's too far away for that. But it's worth it just to know that Miilk will be able to enjoy it.
That task accomplished, he goes back to the regular series of magic blasts that light up the night, launching the energies from his palms with ease. He's having fun with it.
Unfortunately, a sudden downpour quickly changes his mood. It's freezing! Especially in his short-sleeved outfit. He considers rushing back, when he notices an approaching carriage. A moment later, Fancy steps out, dressed in his usual royal attire. Fancy's invitation to get inside is accepted immediately.
"You're a lifesaver, Sion," he thanks him, as he changes his soaked vest and top for a simple white shirt. They're already riding off.
"Thanks, Ryner," Sion replies to his confusion. Sion follows his confused response: "The fireworks. You're the one who fired them off."
Well, he should've figured Sion would guess. Who else could do it? He shrugs away the thanks.
"The rain's started to get to me. There's a place I'd like to stop off, if you don't mind," Sion questions a moment later.
"I don't mind," he says back, only half-wondering where Sion plans to go in this rain. It's pointless to try and predict him after all.
What he learns
- HE CAN DO MAGIC. :o Not just that, but he is damn good at it! Like an expert. Can he still do it?
- Who's Miilk and why is she celebrating her birthday with the king?
- So this is what Claugh and Calne were dragging him into when they grabbed him in his other memory.
- Ryner.
- Sion.
- Sion's not so bad sometimes. If he paid attention to these things, he might question Sion's attention on him and FEELINGS, but Ryner doesn't bother with that sort of thing. But he is well aware that they are very good friends at this point.
- He's a pretty nice guy making fireworks for people. :) Even if he was forced into it.
- He'll connect Sion's name to his first memory where his report mentioned wanting a world where Sion doesn't have to brood. He'll also know the dead friends he wrote about are probably Sion's too. :( Right now, his conclusion on all that is that he might have been framed for their murder, but Sion found out the truth and got him out. So a little good, a little bad.
