Memory 25: Meeting the Gastark siblings

Memory goes here until the end of the scene.

What he learns?

- He's digging through some chest in a Nelpha fortress since there's rumors that something's supposed to be hidden there. A relic? Ferris is threatening him for taking too long. So violent. :|
- All he finds is a collection of hidden tax records. Ferris is most put out.
- He consults map that says the fortress is close to the location of what might be a relic sword.
- Though the map had a big X to mark the spot along the way, he didn't want to dig it up since it was a lot of work. More threatening. orz
- Ferris realizes they're being watched.
- It's the Gastark siblings. But they're a lot more playful and teasing each other about Sui's job and Kuu's wish to get married. Still, he can sense a bit of their hidden dangerous edge.
- Sui asks them to share the fortress' treasure for Kuu's wedding expense, while Kuu searches around the room and of course finds nothing.
- The siblings ask why Ferris and he are there and when he starts to tell the truth about looking for a relic, Ferris hits him and makes up some story about the Nelpha King.

What this means in Aather?

Well, Ryner already felt it was right to protect the siblings from Miran in his memory of the siblings trying to kill them. This pretty much shows him the sibling's softer side and confirms that they're trying to live their lives as much as anyone. Their differences are entirely about what they consider important to them.

It also reminds him that Ferris can be impatient about his laziness so he has to be careful about that. >> And he probably shouldn't be so honest since this came up when Sion was trying to be incognito around Toale too. WHOOPS.
