Memory 13 - Becoming Roland's Greatest Magician

I'm going to do this one a little differently since it's long and I'm only using the first part of the link.

What this means in Aather?

Ryner received this memory after already figuring out how to rewrite Sion's Ante silencing spell when Sion attempted to silence them during the Mirror's truth game. That time, he changed the spell to Kasaragi. This memory tells him that he's always been gifted with the ability to rewrite magic once he analyzes it with Alpha Stigma. It also explains why Sion would want to research him before discovering him at the training institute later on.

The memory also confirms what Sion told him about his childhood, about being used by Roland as a weapon and then being punished for rebelling against his orders by being thrown into the institute. This memory strengthens Ryner's distaste toward violence and especially ill treatment of women.

Memory 14 - Significant Neutral

Memory 14 - @Letting the Hero devour him

I'm revising this memory a little so that it's more confusing for Ryner, which is more fun for me and breaking the part about him befriending the Hero into a separate memory. Also, it allows me to just use the anime scene, which works well for my super lazy self.

Also note, this is a Ryner Eris Reed memory and is from 1,000 years ago, during one of the world's destruction cycles.

Memory goes here until the 3 minute line. Also note, Ryner only remembers what Reed (dude with emo tear tattoo) saw. So none of Ferris' fun narration for him~.

What he learns?

- .............................. WTF
- No really WTF
- Okay, um so he's looking through someone else's eyes obviously. Because there is no way he can be ALIVE at the time of this memory since it looks like forever ago.
- And why the hell is he with the Hero? He knows it's the Hero since he recognizes him from all the research he did on the legends and the hero relics.
- And um yes, it's pretty obvious he's looking through the legendary Demon's eyes right now since this is the legend of the Hero EATING the Demon. So yeah.
- Except that he definitely feels the Demon's loneliness and his sheer happiness at knowing he can help the Hero. Who it feels like is his................. friend?
- WTF
- Why the hell does he even HAVE this memory?

What this means in Aather?

LOL, Ryner is NOT going to talk about this much, outside of his initial freak-out with Syaoran. Except with Ferris since it contains information on the Hero and he and Ferris are pretty damn sure that whatever's wrong with Sion and whatever makes him go crazy in the future has to do with the Hero. Having had a similar situation while Xion was in Amethyst, having someone else's memories is not completely unknown to Ryner. But he really questions why he has the friggin' DEMON'S. There's obviously some connection there, just as Sion is connected to the Hero in some way. It is extremely unlikely he'll figure out that the Lonesome Demon Ryner Reed is inside of him since in the memory he did not feel like himself at all. Because Ryner and Reed aren't quite the same.

All in all, this memory just confuses the fuck out of him. 0_o And with this plus other Amethyst trauma, he's going to be a little zonked.

Memory 15 - Significant Neutral

Memory 15 - Protecting the Gastark siblings from Froaude

What he learns?

- A pair of pink-haired people were threatening to kill a little girl to emotionally cripple the young boy with him and Ferris.
- The older one was in possession of something that turned his arm into a dragon head. Likely a Hero relic.
- Before Ryner had time to react, someone in the shadows summoned beasts from darkness magic to rip off the dragon arm. Ferris saved the girl.
- The girl Gastarkian called the magic Rule Fragment and said it's similar to one used by another person, Lir. This confirms that Gastark has a hero relic.
- Ferris and him recognized the new guy from Nelpha. Why?
- The pink-haired duo is Sui (man) and Kuu (girl).
- Runa. He knows from his research that this is a holy kingdom near Gastark.
- The new guy recovered Sui's relic, which had turned into a sword and then tried to attack Sui and Kuu, but Ryner blocked with Izuchi.
- Sui was confused but Ryner let them escape
- The new guy was also confused why people from Roland would protect people from Gastark. Ryner's ready to fight the guy but the guy isn't interested.
- The guys only wants people convenient for him but also said that more people dead would make it easier for people like Ryner to live. He mocked Ryner for his dislike of sacrifice. Geez, what an asshole.
- Ryner thanked him for saving the girl, even though he knows he didn't. In return, the guy said he will kill him. :\
- The kids they are with are Kuku (girl) and Arua (boy. They decide to leave them with Miilk since they can't drag them along on their search for relics.

What this means in Aather?

It's mostly a reminder that Ryner abhors violence and death and will stand against it, no matter who's side he's on and no matter what the other side has done to him previously. |D Ryner favors the underdog. Also, holy hell that's what the relic's can do?! :o Ryner also refuses to pay attention to what Froaude said about the world being easier for him if more humans were dead. :(

Normally, this memory might bother him more but yeah it kind of pales in comparison to the WTF of the Reed memory. So.
