D'aww Zero. Ironically, he's become Jaina's favorite person to go to with her Sword of the Jedi issues. Vincent and Neji are too cagey about offering insight, she has trouble getting Spitfire on the topic, and Inara and Mitchell are just like. 'oh honey, why are you so unhealthily thick-headed about this.'

Zero also understands about the twin thing -- she feels like he's the person she's met who's equipped to understand. And from her perspective, being a Hunter is to Zero what being Sword of the Jedi is to herself. So she figures, what the heck, we've got all this in common, we might as well run together as emotionally troubled living weapons and see what we can do for each other.

All in all, one of Jaina's favorites.

What did Zero think of Iolite's suicide in that sea witch/netted lion game?

Things to add to first answer. Jaina also offers Zero a mature take on things that he doesn't get from a lot of his CR since their focus is to improve his mood. Jaina does things much more subtly and Zero respects her for it. He also respects her for her devotion to her purpose, even if he wishes it didn't force her to deny so much of what she wants. Jaina is also totally someone Zero would trust to kill him if the situation arose. He knows she's set to do what's right. Thus, why Jaina is Zero's second most important in Aather, next to Ace.

Zero hated Iolite's suicide, even though he understood their rationale. Zero is a hypocrite who thinks he can fuck himself up as much as he likes but damn if anyone else wants to do it! YOU HAVE TO PROTECT YOURSELVES. Zero really hates to think of the people he cares about dying, even Aather death. Zero will NEVER be okay with death because of his parents. He's also slightly horrified that this has apparently won Ace's favor. -_(\

So I hear Iolite made you a Sith lord? Explain?

Well, during Odile's column game, they first picked the task of courage. For more points, whoever went to the mirror would have their greatest fear made real; Jaina had this idea in her head that probably whatever it was would just step out of the mirror and they would have to deal with it, which was a stupid idea on her part. She figured if she went, it would either be a Yuuzhan Vong (except her feelings toward the Vong aren't actually that fearful; "murderous" is more like it) or herself, fallen to the dark side. She was being stubborn and the team let her do it -- and she was turned Sith.

Basically, falling to the dark side is Jaina's greatest fear right now because of her memories of Jacen. Going dark is the kind of thing that makes her want to kill her twin, and makes everyone conclude it's the right thing to do! That's...really one of those points where she just gets hung up on it and keeps going over it and over it.

So in the game she pissed off Obsidian, and Vincent decided she'd stepped out of his line, so in the end they decided to force-feed a petrification potion to her instead of what probably would have been Iolite's default action, poisoning another team (...maybe. There's a catch 22 here in which if Jaina wasn't in a mindset that caused Iolite to decide to target her instead of another team, she would've argued that she should take the potion instead of harming others for their own gain XD).

Does Zero have any opinions on Jaina's apparently knack for relationships with vampires? XD
