Mitsuru is too new for me to really say either way, but as for Kit...
-- His surface personality is essentially the same. He's cheerful, jokey, a little snide and sarcastic sometimes, and he maintains a lot of the base things that make Kaito, well... Kaito. There is less of a divide between Kaito and Kid however, and he is prone to shifting into a more adult-like, gentlemanly demeanor mid-conversation (mostly this happens when he's talking about more serious things or when he's performing magic, but lately it's started to happen during teasing and regular conversations, too). Eventually he'll probably shift away from Kaito's immaturity toward something more gentlemanly-like on a more regular basis, but he needs more memories for that :|a
-- Has less issues with theft. Like, in canon, there's an entire guilt complex associated with it because the officer chasing him is the father of his best friend/love interest. But since he doesn't really remember that yet, he's a lot more blase about it :|a Thus, he doesn't really try to hide it per se (though he's past the point of telling people about it up front), nor does he really think much of it when he does steal because hey, it's just thievery, it's not like people are getting hurt. Is also more likely to be self-serving with his thefts (such as stealing food from the knights to feed his team... :V), though this has not come up yet! And idk if it will, since he's no petty thief and isn't about to just steal from teams just because he can.
-- Relies on other people more :|a Which comes from being on a team, really. Is generally more touchy-feely than his canon counterpart (is more okay with invasions of his personal space, so long as they are teammates. Still gets a little UNSURE with non-teammates). Doesn't quite use the team for emotional support since he believes he needs to be that support (and flopping over them in DESPAIR would just complicate things), so he still internalizes issues, he is just. More aware of team dynamics!
-- VERY resistant to being seen as/called a kid. WHICH IS WEIRD SINCE... KAITOU KID and all that, but! He has early experiences of Coral/knights keeping things from him to 'protect' him, and it makes him D< because he believes he is very capable and can handle things like that just fine. This is also odd because he still tends to act immature at times... orz.
ETA: BECAUSE I FORGOT
-- Still very malleable as a character :o! Things can really affect him and shift his characterization drastically, while in canon he's pretty much set on who he is. He's gone through a lot of changes this past month to illustrate this, especially with his ideas on team and team dynamics, and I'm sure he still has a loooong ways to go before he settles into something more permanent.
