Anyway, nothing new on Ventus since last time, aside from really wanting to help him figure out his concerns regarding himself and his keyblade. And wanting to give Ventus someone to talk to when Peridot and his memories are overwhelming him. Sad Ven is so wrong. :(

As far as Mark, Ryner is amused by his attitude. Ryner has this cynical appreciation of joker types. While it annoys him sometimes, he also won't resist the chance to play along. But Ryner is also interested in Mark's world since it could hold some key to figuring out both what's up with Sky and what's up with the human experiments he briefly remembers and has heard about back home. Ryner kind of hopes Mark gives up on trying to make since of Aather, much like he did because it really just hurts the brain. But he appreciates the sincere evaluation of things and thinks Mark brings some much-needed levity to the team.

HAHAHA LEVITY HAH. We'll see how much of Mark's registry that lasts through.

Ven is really quite fond of Night at this point. Geeking out over magic seriously did help them bond, and cheer him up. :D He is also really hoping that he'll get that skill back soon and be able to help him figure stuff out. (And Ven thinks sad Ven is wrong. :( he's working on it but he just got another signeg so.)

Ryner is one of the teammates Mark feels more comfortable around. Which is to say it's still a long way through Mark's trust issues and general introversion (which aren't nearly as intense now as they will be after some memories) until Mark would call him a friend, but he's pleasant enough to be around, even if he's a nosy bastard sometimes. Ryner was also one of the three people who magically managed to bring out Mark's troll/snark side before he got it from memories, which was just awesome. Mark will probably be very WTF when he realizes how much of a magic dude Ryner is, and then possibly pelt him with questions about it. Though he has pretty much given up on making sense of Aather at this point; there's just some residual snark, and it's all tinged by his faint but growing suspicion that he might be legit insane. BUT MOSTLY Mark has a very reservedly positive opinion of Ryner which is still saying a fair bit.

So I am curious...is Ryner actively Not Interested in the bishie king who's madly in love with him, or is it one of those cases where he is maybe a little interested but it's Too Complicated to do anything about it? Or if you don't feel like talking about Sion's pants, how is Ryner handling this WTF D: memory of his?

Ryner fears all things that involve someone caring too much for him. And his relationship with Sion in Aather is very much someone who is just always there and he loves him greatly for it. He is also genuinely comfortable and happy around Sion. But he can't wrap his head around why a KING would want to love someone like him at all. It's even more surreal than Ferris because Sion has RESPONSIBILITIES and people who look up to him. He can't be seen like that with an Alpha Stigma, a threat to everyone. Them being friends is hard enough for Sion's image. ;; And he also can't think of it when he's trying so damn hard to figure out how he can save him.

But yes Sion feels for Ryner the same way Ferris does. Ryner acknowledges this and loves them both but BLOODSTAINED HANDS BLOODSTAINED HANDS. I cannot stress enough how much this fucks up Ryner's entire perspective of himself and is VERY HARD to convince him otherwise. He already has proof of what people do to those around him.

So no it's not active disinterest, just pure and simple fear of hurting the people he cares about. It's easier on them to just... not talk about it. Ferris gets further only because she's slightly pushier, but Sion also gets his reactions when he pushes enough. >>;;

Well, mostly Alpha doesn't. Reed is like whatevs.

Then again, we must remember that Reed the guy that BURNED HIS FIRST TEAR INTO HIS SKIN WITH MAGIC to remember it because it was so fascinating. So... I'm not sure we should trust his opinion.
