Zero has issues with Mitchell because Mitchell PINGS his Vampire Hunter side especially hard. And that pisses him off because he kind of HATES that side of himself and wants to subdue it here. But at the same time, he knows Mitchell is a threat. That Mitchell actively wants to be a better person here matters greatly to Zero because it represents why he can't return to the ways of his old self who just hated all vampires. Because clearly here is a vampire who has killed in the past but wants to be something else here now that he has another chance. It's the type of drive that this Zero really believes in. That said... he doesn't like the risk Mitchell poses with his blood addiction and wants assurance that it can be stopped. There is also the issue Zero has with Mitchell lying to his team, which is a MAJOR NO in Zero's book. Because it endangered them as well. This... is something Zero remains concerned with and will keep an eye on...

As far as the Lark incident went, Zero considers Mitchell perfectly justified in his anger and wouldn't have done a damn thing if Mitchell tried to strangle him. In fact, that Mitchell was able to control his obvious anger is a strong point toward Zero believing Mitchell might be more in control of himself than he was before. And that whatever Tiger's Eye is doing to help him, it's working.
